Pictures on internet being used to spread malware.

This might be a bit late to post about this, but about May 2011, I believe there was a peak  of malware infested pictures back then.
Hackers  install monitoring programme on legitimate websites that monitor google trends for top keywords, then add content relevant to current affairs that will be crawled by internet bots, say libya, al-qaeda or the latest hurricane,`poisoned pictures' relating to the latest current affairs say Colonel Gaddhafi, Bin Laden or hurricane Irene then appear in google images or where ever which  online picture library they use.
These `poisoned pictures' redirect you to either fake antivirus websites or to websites that download malware to your computer.

`Poisoned pictures' can  also be of things such as electriconics and computer related items.

Slightly off topic, I think I know what will be next, but won't say(don't want to give hackers any ideas!)

Check your online receipts

You should check  the amount you spend with online retailers because there have been cases of discreprancies such as with asda supermarket, the sums on the receipts didn't add up right.
(they say they added on different items, hence the disprecancy)(sp?)
